How to find apartment from Yangpu?

Postby Mikko86 » Mon Aug 24, 2009 4:52 pm

I'm soon monving to Shanghai for internship and looking for place to live 6 months. My workplace is in Yangpu district, near Chi Feng Rd metro station in line 3.

I have been looking for apartments in Yangup from english sites, but there is no any?? I found many apartments in Chinese real estate sites but my Mandarin is very limited.. I have also been thinking to try to find an apartment somewhere along the line 3, but is it easy to use this line during rush hours?

I have been thinking a budjet between 2500-3000RMB. Is this realistic? What can I assume to get for this price?

ps. Anyone else living in Yangpu?

yangpu is 1 of the poorer districts. it of course depends on your living standards. 3k-rmb will go much further there than say, jing'an or changning district.

YangPu is kind of outside the city walls a bit but it's pretty interesting around there. It's nowhere near like the downtown areas - nowhere near as many foreigners and nowhere near as flaky. I like it there actually. It would be cheap to live there - 3000 would get you a very nice place.
Space is the Place.
