I'm visiting Shanghai in a week for a long weekend and am keen on going to the Shanghai Shenhua v Dalian Shide game on Sunday October 15th.
Thing is, I wouldn't know where to start in terms of tickets. Should I pre-book (and if so, what is the website for this?) or am I simply ok just to turn up?

No need to pre-book, the stadium at HongKou holds 36000 and for most games its maybe 50% full. You can buy tickets from the ticket office on the night of the game or you can buy them from the many hawkers outside who have been given complimentary tickets through companies and are trying to offload them.

Maybe pay 40-100rmb.
