how to sell US real estate property in China?

Postby antsmarching » Fri May 06, 2011 4:29 pm

I have a friend who is looking to sell a US property in China. The property is a multi-million dollar home in CA. I am wondering if anyone on this board knows a company or an agent in China that would be able to help.

Also, are there any legal issues with such transaction? Any information on this topic would be appreciated.

Good Luck if it ain't in Arcadia, otherwise look up Baldwin Stocker and you'll get an idea of how the area is priced and aimed towards the "Asian community", you won't find any Chinese mainland or HK/Taiwan to buy that, multi million don't mean a damn thing unless its got the uber school system, and ofc location location location.
Take my advice as a 9 year realtor, it won't be easy to "sell the idea or property" to overseas. Not alot of folks who even have the dough want to go overseas, the money is in China...at the moment.

6.48 anyone?

My business partner in China is buying American real estate now,
his reasoning being, naturally, getting money out of China...
hedging his bets if you will. But he is not buying vanity real estate, sorry.

Don't forget that there are probably over 1 million Chinese realtors in California alone that already are getting all the Chinese they know to buy in California. Chinese, and Koreans have been buying up housing in Irvine, CA for years. Great schools and Asian markets, stores etc.

Here is NOT EXIST SERIOUS PURPOSE to buy a home in America, because in case of business immigration you need to buy BUSINESS (for $500k). And $100k-$150k is seems to be ok for a median size home.

Conclusion: No market.
Bye !

I feel sorry for Californians...they have had to suffer with stupid politicians
for so long that they state will self destruct under its own debt eventually..
The concept of the "Money Pyramid" led to Enrons' demise...California next.
I think that the Chinese in the know will have learned from the Japanese
buying of New York City real estate last century...and how they were only
really offered the chaff...and got the shaft as well, leading cause of
Japans' lingering economic issues still largely unchecked for 20 odd
years now. My friends that are buying are only buying industrial real estate.
And bargain basement undeveloped properties.
