I'm in deep sh*t help me

Hello,

I'm in Shanghai atm and going to be here for a long while. And I've got some news the other day from my home country that i probably got Chlamydia. How much will a prescription cost and how do I do, should I just go to the hospital or?

I'm going crazy please please help me !

First of all, relax. There are much deeper sh*ts people can get into. Then go to see gyne, explain the situation and get tested for Chlamydia. If you don't speak any chinese, you can easily find English speaking doctor here (check the forum). Better don't leave it for tomorrow, the earlier you start therapy the better result you get.

I can say I'm a man and going to study here, cant I just go to a doctor and get a prescription for the antibiotic without an urin sample?

The doctor may prescribe a single-dose antibiotic, such as azithromycin (Zithromax), taken as a pill. On the other hand, the doctor may choose an antibiotic, such as doxycycline (Atridox, Bio-Tab), to be taken as a pill twice a day for a week. Up to 95% of people will be cured after one course of antibiotics.

Yeah ofc but it would bee very convenient just to go and get a prescription for it. And that was my question if its just to go and get a prescription? Btw I dont have any chinese friends yet because I've just arrived.

Can anyone recommend any place where they know english and doesnt cost 1000rmb+..thx

If you swing by Nanjing Xi Lu, you can easily find a girl who'll go with you... After having a cup of the good ol' tea of course...



Go to any doctor. Point at your peepee, and do the bend downwards motion with your finger... They'll know...

Yep, when it comes to ancient tea culture, some laowai sure are an easy touch.
The bottom line here is we must lower our cost base to make room for a lower margin product mix world and to grow our earnings going forward.

Usually they don't charge money from own donors of %> (you understand me), but if you look for treatment - it may cost some hundreds or thousands rmb.

If you go to a chinese hospital, no way you will get any medicine without a blood test

3 years ago, I got a serious stomach trouble, vomiting for hours until i started to have some blood coming out of the mouth. I had already experienced this in taipei, so went to emergency in shanghai Hospital N0 9 (closest to my home at that time). I said just give me this and this pill; the lady doctor in emergency said: no, you get a blood test first...I checked very carefully that the needle for blood check was brand new and in wrapped sealed package...
Finally, it was a blessing (except the 2 x 10 hours of IV drip...): they found me a kind of allergy in the duodenum, stuff that my very modern hospital in Taipei did not find

Total cost with blood check, 2 days of IV drips loaded with medicnes: abt 600 rmb...

If chlamydiae are not cured with antibiotics, you will end up probably sterile...and pray that you did not get herpes too... and Vic is right : take a deep breath, and dont watch down the BBQ steel wire with a cotton swab at the tip, when they will... ...anyway, you will know soon enough :D

Actually the advice for azithromycin, is correct. 1gm, yes you can buy it OTC, they may have you sign a log book, you write anything any it they don't check.

If you don't have a script but know what you need, Parkway calls and gets a script over the phone for a fee (200 rmb or so) and then fills it.
