Cheers

I've always got room in my life for another Indonesian, after the wonderful times I had there. PM me if you want to meet up for a few drinks with some good friends.

Unrelated really, but does anyone know where the hell in Shanghai I can buy Gudang Garam?

Well, it seems that there are quite a number of indonesians around in Shanghai. When I was looking for people for my company in late 2002, I have got replies from indonesian students studying here.

though I am not exactly an indonesian but my parents are, and am thinking of bringing them here to shanghai next year, and woulld be good if there is an indonesian community here so that my parents won't feel lonely though they have a few friends here.

Any brand is fine, I've a friend just got back with a few packs for me, but I've been missing them for almost 1 year before that. The ultimate after dinner smoke in my opinion...

Face Bar at Ruijin Hotel. A bit steep, though. RMB 45 a pack. They keep it in a cigar box to keep them fresh. Neat.

There are hundreds if not thousands of Indonesians. The schools are where students normally hang out together, then become good friends and spend time together as a group even thou they're no longer students. The group keeps growing thru friends, friends' friends en so on... typical Indo ways.

There are many Indonesian Business people who sometimes @Malone every Wed nite, and there are also many Indonesian companies operated in China.

In IBAS (Indonesian Business Association Shanghai), there were normally many activities arranged by Bu Mari Pangestu. Now IBAS's sort of dead sadly... thou you still can attain some information about things related to Indonesian (attn. Mrs Honisary). IBAS has its website, I cant remember the exact add, so pliz google it yourself.

Companies can advertise jobs thru IBAS, as many students usually contact the org for job vacancies.
