Ipod Touch Apps- Translations

Postby ciderman22@gmail.com » Mon Feb 08, 2010 6:44 pm

I will be returning to China in a couple of weeks and want to use my Ipod Touch to help me with the translation. I have looked on Itunes but cannot decide which are the best ones. I just downloaded one from jam mobile and its not very good.

I was just wondering if anyone has some good recomendations for a good english to Chinese translator.

KTdict C-E is free and not web-based. Input English, pinyin, or write a character with your finger.

Although Gmail is great with spam. Puts it all in a separate box and easy to delete at a stroke. So he shouldn't have too many problems. Or maybe he just needs to enhance his performance or his manhood...

I second KTdict C-E . Its the only chinese <-> english translator I keep on my touch!

Another cool app is Shanghai Taxi Guide by "hoodhot travel". Taxi cards for your touch - let's you browse or search by topic; dining, metro stations, nightlife, shopping, etc. Displays a 'Taxi Card' in chinese w/ english info. so you can get where you want. I like searching for restaurants by street - handy when I'm out and get hungry! Available in the iTunes app store - unfortunately not free ($10 USD) but I use this app more than any other.

Only thing I haven't found yet is a good bi-lingual Shanghai street guide. Any recommendations????
