Does anyone know if there's any Brain Gym or Shichida Method centres in Shanghai?

Don't know if this is what you are looking for but you may want to inquire at the Brain Body Centre which is based in HK. They sometimes offer courses in Shanghai. http://www.brainbodycentre.com

Yet to check out, but happen to come across this recommendation from another thread. Its www.niacedamy.com. Its run by Singaporean.

BTW, I have a feeling you are a Singaporean cos I am one too. Is my six sense right?

Please share your findings as I will be very interested to know as well. I believe Prof. Shichida's books are easily available in China but I've yet to come across a specific center.

I had never heard of "Brain Gym" and was intrigued. I found there is an international website which lists instructors in "China" but all of them are in Hong Kong. As it includes their email addresses, you may want to correspond with some of them. Check it out at:

Hi, I have went to the school (www.niacademy.com) today. Its more like a childcare centre and indeed there are a lot of ASEAN students (especially Singaporean). I have spoke to a teacher who is very nice and lovely. She explained to me that they used a lot of flashcard techniques. The founder used to learn under Glenn Doman. And if you are looking for a homely environment, then this is a very good place.

However, it may not be very condusive for my own 2.5years old daughter. She starts flashcard technique since 6 months. I must say she benefit quite a lot from this technique, however, now that she is much older, I prefer her to learn in a more natural and creative way. I also think social scale and a huge place for her is more appropriate now. So I have decided to place her in Fortune kindergarten.

My suggestion is if your kid is under 2 years old, it will be a real good place. But since mine is coming to 3, I think she has a different set of needs.
