I wouldn't put "company" at the end. If the company was called Coca Cola, I'd just say "Coca Cola 2011 year end appreciation banquet".

"2011 end of year celebration dinner" would make more sense to me, but then again I am an Aussie. :D

I think the idea is to reward the staff for their hard work, hence "appreciation". But celebration works too, it just changes the emphasis away from thanking your staff to just "hell, it's new year".

Context, context, context ...

In order to say if it correct or not we need to know how it will be used.

It looks like it will be part of a sign, is that right?

Or is it part of a paragraph, being used in a magazine article, for example.

Without the context of the sentence it is hard to say if it is 'grammatically correct'

I find it difficult to understand what is meant.
Suggest you provide details of the planned event (i.e location, time).
In this way the members here can join in the festivities (crash) and then provide the correct answer.
What type of affair will it be? casual or formal?
Will you have an open bar? or just beer, wine and soft drinks?
Is there a set menu or will it be buffet style? maybe ala carte?
Are you planning for music & dancing? possible casual sex with other workers?
These are important questions which must be answered.

is this sentence correct

No, you need to capitalize the "I" in is and add one of these "?" to the end.

Hope that helps ;)

I was thinking exactly the same.
I'd be glad to help, if only my English itself didn't suck!

Find out what the company theme is if any and put it in the caption with the company name.
For Example:
ABC Company
Employee Appreciation Celebration
(Date)

It's not a sentence. You need a verb if you want it to be a sentence.

As it stands, it's just a clause.

If this is a title or caption for an advertisement, that's fine. Just change "??? company" to the actual name of the company.

If you're planning on using this clause in a real piece of writing, you need to explain the relationship of that clause with the rest of your paper with a verb or two. However, if it's just a blurb for a sign, it's not too bad.

If that's the case, you could also put the name of the company before, or after "2011"

For example:

"2011 year-end appreciation banquet by [company name]"
"2011 [company name] year-end appreciation banquet"
"[company name] 2011 year-end appreciation banquet"
