I have an 8 hr job and truckload of information to share to this site with regards to Shanghai housing, apartment rentals etc.

Zhongshan Park 3 rooms for 3,600.... If it's in a tall building, very very good deal... but if it's an old chinese style apartment.... average 3500-4500.... is acceptable....

We know that but thanks. In "old chinese style" - you mean soviet type block appartment -cost 2000-2500 rmb/m. What else ???

ultimately I think it is a deal if the landlord and tenant can agree and they both live up to their responsibilities. There will always be somewhere cheaper or more expensive.

xizang south rd and zhongshan south rd (almost directly at the intersection.. 2-3 min walk) 25th floor 3 br 2 bath.. dont know exact square footage

i'm curious :D

Shaanxi Bei lu, Anyuan lu, 2nd floor, 270sqm, five bedrooms and a sauna. I pay 7500. But I agree with Michael, my landlady is awesome.

changde lu x chanping lu, right above new chanping lu metro station. just renovated 2 bedroom, 1 living, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom, not sure of size but all rooms are nice and big. 26th floor, top floor of building.

1900 / month.... ahhh, not over priced I'm guessing :)

Should be a shared apartment.. but if not... 1900 USD perhaps?

You just joined the site, so how long have you worked in R/E here in Shanghai?, and who for?

Sorry, Kalanstar, but as you live in the desert of Songjiang, which is about an hour away from Shanghai proper, it is very different to a downtown apartment, but I have to admit 1900 RMB for your layout is very O.K. for that area.

expat thinks you should be paying nearly 13,000 RMB.
