I am trying to find a place that rents the inflatable bounce castles or "moonwalks" that you can put in the yard for a kids party. Does anyone know of a party rental place in Shanghai? Thanks!

Try calling Debra Haacke Monday through Saturday at 6819-2687 or 1381 830 6609. I have not rented a jumphouse from her, and rather only received a flyer with her contact details, offering 4 different types of jumphouses at 700-900 RMB for 4 hours, and 1000-1200 RMB for 8 hours.

Be cautious. On 6/1 in Da Ning Park an accident occurred when kids playing on the jumphouses when the power suddently got disconnected, and the jumphouse collapsed, 30 + kids on the structure being covered by the collapsed huge plastic, and kids were tramped stepped on by the parents who got on it looking to rescue their child. Some kids unharmed, but a few were injured.

The power failure was due to the overloaded capacity when the vendor added two not one jumphouses to operation because the business was good on the holiday.

Just want to bing this up for everyone's attention.

my friend told me she rented one from the Shanghai Marriot. It was pretty beat up but the kids didn't mind and it worked fine. Generator plugged into the socket in the house with a long extension cord.

Oh, and I also recall something called "the Party Place" , I think it's located in Pudong...worth a google or search on this site.
