leaving Shanghai, so sad

leaving Shanghai, so sad

Postby hlbb » Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:12 am

Just spent 5 days in Shanghai, feel so sad, The weather is ok, not too cold, but there are no business any where, 9:00PM, most street would already be empty, just like a western city, the only difference would be it is still quite safe. I don't know with population reach 23 million this year, how can that last forever.

Government ban all house sale, so no real estate market, no money, no money, no business,

Not banned, but TEMPORARILY FRIEZED.

Seems  if all the owners of the real-estates agencies ALREADY KNOW the SCHEDULE, so they decided to close the doors and let the workers have short (1-2 months ?) vacation.

But DON'T worry, the bad times will gone , and "the herders will continue to fleece all the sheep ;-)"

A few questions; is this an across the board stop order? When did it go into effect? When is it over? Any Chinese or English links to reference?

There is NO banning of house sales just restrictions on buying houses like higher deposits to purchase your first house, to buy a second house its a huge deposit, 10% higher mortgage rate and a big tax.

shanghai Chengdu Qingdao etc you have to of payed tax etc for at least 1 year before you can purchase a house if your not a resident.

Beijing is making it 5 years if your not a resident.
