Liver pain

Postby Allrise » Thu Jun 25, 2009 11:21 am

Does anyone have experience with liver pain? What treatment did you receive, if any?

I went to a hospital a few months ago for liver pain, had a blood test and ultrasound. The doc said the test results were normal. As for treatment, the doc didn't give me any liver medicine, just said I should lay off the booze.

The pain lingered for several weeks, then went away. Now it's back again. I'm thinking about going to the hospital again, but I'm worried I'll just get the same advice.

There are NO medications for the liver. However you do need to find out where the pain is coming from, i.e., what the cause is. Blood tests should if liver has some damages if any, and ultrasound should be able to confirmed or exclude gall stones. Something wrong with your lungs / chest wall / ribs / muscules may also cause similar symptoms. So it's not wise to self-medicate.

Are these terms related to the blood test? I'll have to check the form later.

Not obese. Normal, so far.

I'm not sure how you know that the pain you feel is from the Liver unless you previously suffered from it. I'd suggest check the doc, and until the, detox from most things like booze, fizzy stuff and perhaps also glutenous diet.

Definitely no booze. No oily food (fried and greasy). No heavy meal (frequent light meal of fruits and vegetables). And enough rest.

Liver pain... Well for pro or semi that is sort of possibility at some point. Rather rarely it does concern you without having a proper track record covering a decade or more. It can happen though.

They can easily check, if you have fatty liver. Unfortunately blood tests do not necessarily verify you being alcoholic. Cirrhosis is not fun, and symptoms are as lovely as with high blood pressure, i.e. for long time non existent. Good luck :)

As said before, lay off fatty food. Pain could be your gall bladder full of stones. You can do a gall bladder flush, I have done this twice - very effective. The fatty food could also be in the form of crackers and biscuits. Some powdered coffee has oil in it too. Palm Oil is everywhere and it is REALLY bad for you.

Of course pain can come for other reasons but the gall bladder flush is useful to improve your overall liver health. Your liver is the commander in chief of your overall health so if you have pain you need to treat it seriously. Some supplements that are rich in Milk Thistle and also dandelion are very good tonics for improving liver health. I buy supplements from Australia and it is cheaper and better quality than what you can get in China.

Go to : www.goldenglow.com.au for supplements. Also a great resource for learning about the liver and it's importance and your health can be gained from Dr. Sandra Cabot. Check out her website on www.sandracabot.com

A proper liver flush takes about 2 weeks to do and is quite a regimen. A juicer and access to fresh parsley and green apples and is necessary, as well as lemons, celery and EXTRA Virgin Olive Oil.

Good Luck ! If you really want to know more about a liver flush post again and I will try and access some information for you to assist you to do it. You need to time it so you are off for two days at the time of the actual flush. It wipes you out.
