I am searching for high quality lace (beaded fabric as well) to make wedding dresses and other evening gowns. If anyone has information on where to go in Shanghai, I would really appreciate it.

all i know is the best factories and shops for weddings dresses are in suzhou

There are lots of shops selling lace, beads, (shell) buttons etc. on Renmin Road （人民路）near Yu Garden. But not sure if they are in good quality as I did not take a closer look. Still worth a try.

You can also try the "South Bund" (Nan wai tan) textile market.
