Can anyone recommend an architectural historian in Shanghai who can be hired for private tours?

One woman who runs walking tours is architect Anne Warr, who has just written a book of architectural walks through shanghai. If you Google her, you'll get her website.

The other to try is Spencer Dodington of Luxury Concierge China (www.luxuryconciergechina.com), who also speaks Shanghainese and can arrange for local people to show the interiors of their homes, too, and explain some of the history.
