I will be moving to Shanghai end of the year. I will be there to house hunt next month. I have no idea where to look. My husband's employer is in the Huang pu district. Would like nice expat complex. approx 34000 RMB a month. Anyone know of any nice, safe apartments, or where would be a nice place to live so the commute to work would not be bad?

Not very many houses available in Huangpu. Most of the houses or villas occupied by expats are in Pudong or Gubei. If you can live in an apartment then it is a different story.

Since you asked about a "house" I suspect that you have children. If so, maybe you should consider a school first.
