Looking for housing that allows small dogs

Postby brandejl » Wed Jul 14, 2004 3:33 am

My husband and I are being transferred to Shanghai for 6 months, moving in September. We have two small dogs. Does anyone know of a place we can rent that allows pets?

It depends a lot on the individual owner, but we had no problems finding a place for our Boxer (moving mid August). I would contact an agency though, it will make life a lot easier. It depends a lot on your budget, ours was approx 2500 usd and we looked at about 10 places in the XiuJaHui area, but only a few had gardens, which we felt was a must due to the size and energy level of our dog.

good luck

Hi brandejl,

I noticed that your location says Allentown, PA. My husband and I are originally Pittsburgh! We just moved to Shanghai from Germany at the beginning of this month. We brought our two medium size dogs with us. I definitely recommend working with a real estate company. We used Joanna Real Estate. They were pretty good, not superb, but good. I just posted some info on moving with dogs, if you don't already have a plan, you might find the info helpful. Best of luck!

watch out though... there is a law now that forbids dogs to be out and about so you may consider leaving your doggie dogs where they are, they will get killed or captured here.
good luck and do whats best for your animals, dont bring them here!
