I always see people fighting there ... I have seen a kinda gang fight between American white guys and Chinese..God so big and tall americans got beaten badly.. I enjoyed the fight..because those americans were really acting like they were god..scukers

Yes, i'm thinking so too. Some expats prefer to live in "expats places", eat in "western restaurants" and believe that they lives in "western style" of life.

Much of the local hip hop crew aren't so "foreigner" friendly. If fact, I can hop tables on any given night and the topic of choice(as long as whities aren't around) is "How Much We Hate Foreigners" - and by that, they mean white dudes who troll clubs for yellow meat. Note: they do seem to welcome white female (well, any sort of flavor actually) with open arms.

So we already have a foundation for a "West Side Story".

The first problem is that most of the young whitey foreigners have "0" games. They walk around, see a girl they like and just start up their canned routines. "Oh . . . uh, hello? So can I have your opinion? Do I look gay to you?" - Yeah you do you moron. You're about to get your teeth kicked in.

The second problem is that the "Fight or Flight" responses on these kids are terribly mis-calibrated. Not really sure why these species enjoy getting their asses kicked + ridiculed before, during, and after the act but really, just going home . . . waaaay back home would be a much better option for them.

I agree with Captain_SH and Russian Bear, some of the whitey foreigners are acting up too much. On the other hand I had a very good experience in Wynn Win (Former name of M2) I was standing all by myself and enjoying the music and my drink. After a while I got a glass of champaign offered by the young crowd, stting in the table in front of me. One will get treated the way one treats others.

Man, I must live in some cocooned environment in Shanghai. I've never seen a fight here in all the 23 years I've been here. NEVER.

Just remember, people....Just because a Chinese local is smaller than you, doesn't mean he won't compensate for his size. They will gather their buddies and jump you, break a bottle over your head when you least expect it, maybe even carry a knife. On top of that, the police probably won't protect you. Whether a fight is fair is irrelevant. Looks like the odds are against you, especially if you're noticeably foreign and probably already hated.

I've also never seen a fight in China in all the 9 years I have been in and out of this country. Verbal arguments yes. But fighting? Never. Which is why I like China. Try walking past a provincial Wetherspoons in the UK at closing time......

As some one has already mentioned Chinese certainly do not fight without any reason...and my one decade long experience in china says those whities act like owner of the CITY and that behaviour just scuks...it is quite disgusting indeed specially when they just approach the girls w/o aware of being her boy friend, brother and other friends around with ill minded that all chinese gurls are bitches and they can screw them on the spot....WTF..

Marakanis: Just use "bu yao" if you don't want something. "buyong xie" is like "You are welcome" or litterally "No need to say thanks", ie use that when someone says thank you to you.

Hm... Well ofc buyao, xiexie works as well. But I asked my gf earlier about it, since I wanted to say something closer to "No, thanks" but actually "Buyao" is not seen as rude at all.

You, as an foreigner, as a guest here (always ) and therefore seems more appropriate to add "thanks". Locals, especially from the villages, do not say that. However, your behaviour, your speech and clothing - is a mirror in which you will see the relevance to themselves.

Be polite. It's better this way. I always say 'xie xie ni' - it's not necessary, overly polite, but it doesn't hurt to say it.

Well, I still add the thanks since I am so used to it from English but I just wanted to point out that not adding it is not seen as rude. If you add ofc you will be showing that you are polite.
