Oh, and as for getting Macbook serviced in Asia, it really depends on the service center.
Technically, they can do whatever for you, if they want to.
In '06, I was in Shanghai then went to Tokyo, for the F1 races. ...snip... he gave me a brand new MacBook, cloned my HD over, set everything up and running, all in 2 hrs, FREE OF CHARGE. That was unbelievable, and what I call service. Good luck in China though
Had my iMac, purchased in Tokyo, serviced in Shanghai. First Shanghai said the extended warrenty was only good in Japan. I called up Apple US and they switched the contract over to China no problem. Ask and ye shall receive. Still pi$$es me off that I had to have it serviced at all, though....

Mention 3D games and a PC will and can piss over anything Apple could possible throw at it.
Right on! My 21yo gamer son has an amazing water cooled, neon lit, big screen TV totin PC system he built himself. Boggles my mind.
But when it comes to having a non-gaming dependable, easy to use, maintenance free (except for that friggin iMac service call) I'll stick with Apple. And yeah, I'm hooked now. My pretty little iPhone (which charges in less than an hour), laptop, desktop, calendar, contacts, browsers are all synced up! Like I tell my DH, if Apple makes it, I want it. ka-ching Next thing ya know, I'll be toting LV.
