Manila to Boracay

Postby Fathai » Wed Nov 07, 2007 9:31 am

Can I buy directly a ticket flight to Caticlan from Manila airport?

Can I walk from the International to the Domestic airport and which domestic airports go to Caticlan?

I checked with SEAIR and Asian Spirit but could not book online!

Thanks for your help!

not that i know of. either in terminal 1 (NAIA 1) or terminal 2 (Centennial).

all these three terminals (old domestic, terminal 1, terminal 2) are quite far from each other (you need to take a taxi).

but you can buy tickets in the domestic airport, just go to the AsianSpirit/SeaAir offices. however, it may be difficult to be a chance passenger, advanced ticket reservations is still recommended. last time i was there, the AsianSpirit office was full of chance passengers. good thing i made my reservations in advance (via telephone reservation, their online reservation doesn't work)

in addition, if you're going after 12/14/07, from dec 15 2007, Philippine Airlines will have 5-flights daily to/from Caticlan. this will be very convenient because the Philippine Airlines domestic terminal is just beside the international terminal in the Centennial building. Ask a travel agent when this is available and book connecting flights: SHA-MLA-CATICLAN and vv.

Happy trip!

I just did this in October, and the flights were full. I highly suggest a reservation. You definitely need a taxi to get to the other airport, but it is not difficult.

SE Air has a web site that works sometimes, I had trouble booking my flight that way but managed to do it after several tries.

You guys may also contact this reputable travel agency (http://www.filipinotravel.com.ph/index.php) via telephone & have a confirmed Manila-Caticlan return ticket ready for pick up at the Int'l airport upon ur arrival, or delivered to the hotel. This agency is also based along the famous white beach in Boracay in case. I've only made 1 phone call & thereafter e-mail correspondences for following up & payment for our lovely trip this June. However, I was told by the SEAir check-in staff that we could get better fare price if we call their ticketing office directly, as compared to via travel agency.

Cathay Pacific & Philippines Airlines fly to Manila Int'l daily, but their arrival time doesn't coincide well with the departure time to Caticlan (allow 3hours transit time for check out & catch a cab to Domestic Airport for check in), so many stays a night at Manila. There are 2 domestic airports (excluding Clark which is at the suburbs) in Manila which is very, very near each other.

Have a lovely holiday! Must drink mango shake everyday!
