miniature golf (Lucky Greens) story and review

about 1.5 months ago, i went there shortly after they opened w/ my GF. i think it was 35 rmb/pp/round. the course is *tough*. the par for the course is something like 52, instead of 36 which i am used to back home. but i like tough, although some of the holes are next to impossible to finish in say 3 or 4 strokes (short of chipping your way in). the course has some lighting probs. there are hot spots, and there are spots that are more or less pitch black. they really should make their lighting more uniform.

i heard they recently changed some of their holes, so i dont know if the lighting problem has been fixed. they do have A/C, but it's not exactly strong enough for my tastes (way better than nothing at all tho!). the course pleasantly impressed me despite the flaws i mentioned.

that's the review. here's the story:

after i paid entry for me and my GF, i asked for the fa1 piao4. guy said since they just opened, the bank has been real slow in giving them their fa piao. he asked me to write my addy down and he would send it to me as soon as he received it from the bank. ok, i thought.

a week later and i still hadnt received it. i emailed him asking what's up. i honestly thought the reason he gave me was a run-around, but he assured me it's on its way. long story short, it took about 3 more email exchanges, and about 3 more wks before i finally received my fa piao in the email.

this is actually not a negative review, far from it. yes, it's bad they took about a month before giving me my fa piao. i actually dont need it as badly as some might think, but rather it's the principle of the matter. but the entire time i was ~80% sure i wasnt ever gonna see the fa piao at all. the guy included 2 vouchers for a free round of play as compensation for my troubles, which i thought was thoughtful.

so i'm a happy camper, even if my patience was tested. i will be back, at least to use up the 2 vouchers, and will likely be back after that. my first time i shot about 4 over par, next time it's gonna be below par, damnit! :-)

Would be up for a mid week excursion, and only on the following provisio......
Beer must be consumed!! It is an integral part of my pre shot routine.
Beer, or as I sometimes refer to it ...... "Swing Oil", lubricates not only the joints but also lubricates the tongue when one needs to hurl an expletive after a bad shot. Having said that, should the ball not leave the tee, you don't have to hurl too far, a swift kick to your caddies shins will suffice. They obviously handed you the wrong club.
Another beverage or two later and you won't give a fiddlers fart how good or bad you are playing, you'll just be soaking up the atmosphere...literally, muggy as hell out there these days.
So to those out there who subscribe to the "drink more, swing harder" school of golf ( a school with high enrollment , though high absentee-ism ), as the nike ads say " just down, oops, do it'
