Hi - My partner and I plan to relocate from UK to Shanghai in the next couple of months to set up a new business & are considering how best to approach visas during the startup / pre registration period.

I've been advised to get a 6 month multi entry visa invitation letter with my existing company (£150 per person), and that we would need to leave & re-enter the country every 3 months on this visa.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a longer term visa than 6 months and whether it's a normal price to pay £150 for an invitation letter?

If there's a better way to approach this, I'd be very grateful for any advice.

Looks like this maybe the best way to do it - If I can get the business registered within 6 months I guess there's no problem renewing the visa.

If there is a better way, please do post as I'm planning to go ahead with this in the next week.

go via Hong Kong and apply there with a travel agent for multiply 6 months.....only cost HKD 800
