Need Help- Where to live...

I will be working in Shanghai for one month. I am looking for an apartment, probably a serviced apartment would be best for me. I will be working at

Shui On Plaza
No. 333
Middle Huai Hai Road
Shanghai 200021
China

Any recomendations? I would like to try and spend around $1000 or less for the month. I don't really know Shanghai so I have no idea what the are I will be working at is like, or where a good place to live would be. Thanks for any adivice.

You will need to get an agent. There are some serviced apartments i that area, but I think they are probably more expensive. Your big problem will be finding someone to rent to you for that price in that area for only one month. Not impossible though. Look in the real estate and email some of the agents that post there.

Now I suggest you'd better find a service-apartment

$1000 is not enough. The rental of service apartment near your company (Hongkong plaza, silver court, Somerset, Time Square, New habor) is much higher than your budget.
The only service apartment that close to your budget is Tian Ci service apartment. it's around $1050 for one month. (Guang Dong Rd./Yan An Rd.)

Link- I have been looking around and it seems like most of the places you mention can be had for about 1,500 usd for one month. Can you tell me which you think is best, and also which is closest to where I will be working?

Thanks to all-

JayBee,

Frankly speakingm when you check out some of the property website, they always mention the lowest possible price on very low floors.

From my point of view the best value for money property in your office area will be Silver Court, for serviced apartments, one bedroom going for about 1600USD. Else you should consider non serviced apartments in the area at about 800 to 1000USD.

Hi JB,

You can quite easily find a studio service apartment for between RMB 5000-8000 in both HuaiHai area, Jingan area, or Xuhui area. I will recommend that you take a look at the listings on www.thatsshanghai.com

Good luck!
