I live in an older Chinese building with all Chinese and we just got an upgrade to our cable tv system. I now have 95 channels and a box that not only displays all the tv channels and their programming in English like Tivo, but can be connected to the internet and download movies, shop, etc. There is also a usb port so you can plug in an external hard drive and record programs and a slot for some kind of card that gives you access to even more channels. My Chinese isn't that good yet, but I think that my neighbors were telling me this system is going to be set up for all of Shanghai. The company is OCA. Does anyone else have this service? I've never seen anyone talk about this, but I now have a channel that plays NCAA college basketball games from the 07-08 season 24 hours a day! They rotate 3 or 4 games every day. A bunch of channels called SITV that show interesting stuff and several international channels, at least 10. There is even a 24 hour a day video game channel for all you who wanted to watch gaming league Warcraft III and Counter Strike matches with Chinese commentary. Most of it is all in Chinese, but that is fine for me since I'm here to learn the language. Is my building just super old and I'm just now getting the standard cable everyone else already has?
