My mate just opened a new table tennis club about a 15-20 minute bus ride from JingAn or a twenty minute walk from Shanghai Train Station. (Or of course even quicker for those who wish to take a taxi:)

It is a brand new club with top quality tables and equipment and has some very decent coaches to help you improve your play. I think it's only 20 RMB per hour to hire a table or 80 RMB per hour to play with a coach. You may think 80 RMB per hour is expensive but my friend is a former professional player who trained with the Chinese national youth team in Beijing! so it is money well spent:) believe me I know:) When you play with a coach you can get training Chinese style! which means multi-ball i.e. the coach hitting hundreds of balls at you on different parts of the table.....a good work out and a sure way to improve. Just look at how good the Chinese National team are. But of course All LEVELS from beginner to advanced players are welcome.

Sorry for not making the location clear.

The table tennis club is located at the intersection Changshou Lu and Changde Lu (north of Jiang An).

The club currently opens 7 days a week from 14h - 22h.

As I say if you have any problems finding the place or would like to book a coach for please call my friend Owen : 13918303951.

You can just go to the club with a friend to play for 20 RMB for one hour.

Or call Owen and book a coach for an hour of power:) for 80 RMB.
