Can anyone recommend good and inexpensively priced massage places in Jingan or its vicinity like putuo, luwan, not too expensive please so i afford to do it 2 - 3 times a week. Local areas are fine too. Thanks in advance

Try Yu Massage. I've been there once, and from memory, their oil massage was around 120rmb for 60 minutes. I think they have an awesome package for about the same price, but you'll get another hour of foot spa/massage. The catch, though, is that you can avail this amazing deal only during the day (they have a window, I can't remember the time exactly).

The massage is not bad, and the place is not dodgy at all. Perhaps, for the price, it's worth it. I like Apsara Spa better for the fantastic service I get, besides the really wonderful and relaxed feeling during and after my massage sessions.

There's a place next to Lawsons on Yanping Lu and Xinzha Lu that does 2 hours for 70RMB. Foot and Body. Spoke pretty good English too, worth a try.

Otherwise, theres a place next to the Youth Hostel on Jiaozhou lu near Wuding lu that is cheap too, I thought the quality was better on the above one.

I hope you are not thinking that massage can solve a more serious problem in your body. Massage just takes tension out of your muscles and delays time until you feel the problem again. massage by untrained
chinese practitioners 2-3 times a week will eventually cause confusion to your nervous system. If you have a problem its better to seek out acupunture, chiropractic, osteopath so the problem can be solved in the nerves where most problems have their root.

massage is a good short term plan but not a good medium to long term idea if there is functional problems in your body.

once a week at a proper practitioner will solve the problem over 2-3 times a week at a untrained oil massage facilty.
massage has it's place but it sounds like you have a more serious problem.

I just got back form the place just behind the corner. After 20 min. I show her again what I really want, (she did the trick "I do understand" and she did what she learned) and after another 20 min. I jump out and ask her if she wants to lay down so I will show her how to do it properly (the massage). I do understand that they must learn it. But do it on each other how I did it during my study! The unprofessional massage can seriously do a big harm in your body. however the good pros can help you in long run a lot. Mostly to prevent the injury.
