My experience with Carrefour online service this week.
The registration process was quick. I placed an order on Wednesday night. Received a call on Thursday morning, indicating that the goods would be delivered around 16:00 Thursday. So far so good. I left work early to be home for the delivery. The delivery man showed up 18:30. Missing in the delivery was almost half of the items on the order list. The answer was "out of stock." Toilet paper and oranges out of stock? Really? I had this fleeting vision of half the Gubei store empty. What are the odds? Most likely, the clerk was too lazy to go through the store to gather all the items on the order list. The delivered package of Hormel bacon was very warm, probably from sitting in the truck all day long. Good thing I did not order any vegetables!
My grade: a D. Granted, I did not have to leave the house to purchase the goods. However, I did not get about half of items I ordered. I wasted a couple of hours waiting for the delivery guy. And now, I will have to make a trip to the store to buy the items that were not delivered, which is completely defeating the purpose of a delivery service.
I will give it another shot later to see if the service improves the second time around. However, I am not counting on it.
