Hello,

Has anyone been to any of those three places?

Any information you have will be most appreciated. We'll be leaving for the October Holiday and will be taking our two lovely monsters, er, children with us.

Thanks.

Been to all 3.

Pattaya: for young people, who likes noise, disco and girls for sale in every single bar. Pattaya is split into 2 parts; the party one with all the girls and the expensive one, where all the rich tourists stay. There is still a huge problem with the water in Pattaya, which means you should not go swim in the ocean as it might make you sick.

Hua Hin: this is a cultural part of Thailand and also one of the old capitals. It has one of the longest beaches in Thailand and people looking for a relaxing holiday with a lot of culture should choose this one.

Rayong: this is also a beach resort, but with access to the beautiful island called Koh Samet, many beaches and the seafood is yummy. This is where the Thai's to relax during the weekends!

Hua Hin - Railway Hotel. Hotel has 3-4 fantastic pools. Colonial hotel atmostphere. If you can book and walk, try the Central Villas Hua Hin (2 bdrm with small living rm villa- same complex...just across a public access road to the Railway Hotel - buffet breakfast is served at the Colonial Hotel. . In the center of town so you can walk into town for shopping, alternative eating. Beach is public so is passible. Probably my fav of all 5 star that I've been to...lived in Thailand for 8 years.

Pattaya has crappy muddy beaches - good alternative for day trip from BKK. Rayong....has a few islands that are OK but....I'd still say Hua Hin.

BTW, my kids also loved the Four Seasons in BKK. Huge double choco chip cookies and milk every night. Little toy gift upon arrival. Center of town. Quiet pool. Big rooms (we got a reg room). Buffet breakfast was passible.
