Hi all,

I am a student who plays at an intermediate (but have not touched badminton for two months) level and wants to find some people to play as often as possible. I live in Xujiahui area and actually don't mind traveling at all. I am available to play almost everyday before July 12th, which is when I go back.

Looking forward to meet some people!

Hi,

Not posted for a while, but just to let you know that the Sunday morning meet up is still going strong on Maotai Lu. However this Sunday the 17th July, the courts are booked from 10am to 12pm.

Hi All,

I'm looking for a regular game Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays (or all three) for an hour between 6:30 and 9 pm. I found a great place to play near Shaanxi and Jianguo that is air conditioned. I'm an intermediate player looking for a good workout. Email: everywhereelse@hotmail.com

hello all,

Please notice that we are also still having regular game at 10-12 every sat morning with 2 courts located near Xu jia hui. Some of our member left country or moved hence we have some opening slots for you.

We prefer player with at least medium or advance level. So if you are no novice player and looking for some good sweat on sat morning, let me know. Game on, folks!

Hi,

I will try to get along to the Sat morning one of these times, but as I already play on the Sunday meetup from 11 - 1 that already takes up half the Sunday, and with a wife, dog and 4 birds not so easy to find some more spare time on the weekend :)

Cheers, badg

Hi JL, Andy and all,
Are you guys still playing at JingGan stadium? I would like to join you all if possible.
I'm an ok player, used to play at school and university. Hope to be able to meet up with a group of badminton friends in Shanghai. Which day and what time do you guys play? Do you all play during the day or in the evening? Looking forward to hear from you soon. Thanks...

There are at least 2 badminton groups I know of, the one I attend plays on a Sunday normally from 11am to 1pm. Ability is from beginner to advanced, we have between 6 and 16 people turn up depending on alcohol consumed the night before, holidays, business trips etc. Cost is 50rmb per court per hour which works out about 20rmb per person.

We play at Yan An Middle School (999 Mao Tao Road, close to Weining Road)

If people want to play then just drop me a PM with your email address, and you can be added to the email distribution list that gets sent out every week.

am in! I am in!

Count me in! hehe......

I love badminton, my favorite! I want to try criket and tennis, too.

I live in Qiu Jiang Rd in Zha Bei.

There is a Jiao Tong park close by! I saw many locals playing badminton there!

But I hate the rules! I mean I don't want to play it like professionals on court with a net! I know I am a freak!

You sure you're talking about badminton, right? or butterflies catching? you know, no court, no net, just you trying to catch a flying object with a "racquet" looking device...

Court and net is fine.

Jess, be careful of getting into long winded conversations with people who think playing badminton without courts or nets is acceptable :)

After all, they might turn up to our Sunday games and expect us to take the nets down !!
