Check with sport stadiums, schools around your area and sometimes there are badminton courts inside residential areas (sport clubs).

Good luck

Across from the Big Bamboo (on Nanyang Lu) is a gym, upstairs is the badminton courts and downstairs has table tennis.

HI
Hope you are enjoying the fun of playing badminton, I will visit Shanghai from SHENZHEN soon, would like to join your badmintion game, I'm in forties, should say that I'm good at badminton at this age.

Where and when do you play badminton if you already find a court. Or we can join a badminton club together to make new friends there. I ever played it in SHANGHAI months ago.
HAVE A GOOD TIME

I am living in Chang Ning District, near Hongqiao Road Metro station. Anyone know where I can play badminton?

My office is near Xujia Hui. So the place could also be near my office.

Thx

If you guys interested, i think i can book court near lu jia bang rd and we can play on weekly basis.

If you already have group with good play level, i can join in too.

Postby SteveDude » Sat Nov 27, 2010 2:14 am

Hi All, I have recently spent a month in Shanghai, and will be returning at the end of December for at least another month, maybe longer. I am sport mad and would like to meet up and play, Babminton, Tennis, Football, Hockey, Table Tennis, Squash with other like minded sports fanatics. I am also looking for a Gym (weight training) partner, that either speak chinese and english...or just english...(like me!!!..lol!!) although Chinese is improving!! I will be staying in the Puxi area, for others who don't know there is a good cheap gym there (30rmb a visit) that does have Table Tennis Tables..Anyone know of a place to play Baminton in Puxi???...thanks for your help...Steve

The courts across from the Bamboo would be best for me, but I can travel.

Just started playing Badminton, but from a tennis background so decent enough (I think)

Hi Guys
I saw your massage about the badminton playing interests, would like to enjoy this game's happiness with you.
I live close to JINGAN Stadium, would like to invite you to play badminton on the coming Wednesday(DEC 8/ 2010) afternoon 15:00~17:00 in the JINGAN stadium, we can book some places to have fun over there.
Pls join us if you are free then. Appreciate your earliest reply by Tuesday for booking place purpose. Estimate it will cost 30~35RMB for each person, assume we can book 2or 3 courts, each attendee needs to bring his/her own sports stuff including racket/drinking water/shoes/sports clothing/(medical items if he/she wants to bring while we assume that each one will be able to take care of himself/herself to avoid possible sport injures ...), here we can provide shuttlecocks.
I'm in forties, have been playing badminton for years, middle class level in this age, and is trying to improve skill further. I think anyone is welcome to join this game, hope we can get to know each other through the interested game.
Hope your involvement can bring us a good start. Further information will be updated per your feedback.
Have a good time.

I'd love to join! I'm an intermediate player also, been playing since middle school, but practically off in the university. Please let me know the time for the next game, and I'll show up at the court. And if possible, not during working hours... BTW, you guys aren't playing w/ plastic shuttles, right?

Hi All
We had a good start daytime badminton playing yesterday afternoon, 2:30pm~5:00pm, with Mr. Zhuang, Andy and his friend, and other 3 joiners, Zhuang and Andy are pretty high level players, I tried to find a challenger for Andy around all courts but failed. I think we can start to organise a regular daytime group for fun. As it's not easy to book a regular courts after 15:00PM, I wonder what time is good for you( from 10:00 to 15:00 each working day, it's much easy to book sofar), for weekends or evening playing, we can try again in the coming days.
Yesterday, we used Aeroplane(航空)brand shuttles.
Thanks for your involvement for a good start.
Have a good day.
