Plan to go to Thailand during June15-21, any suggestions?

Hi all,

I will have my annual leave next month, so i plan to stay in Thailand(1 day in Bangkok& 6 days in Pattaya) during June 15-21, my question is this will be the first trip to Thailand for us and i worry about it, so i'll be so appreciated if some of you who have been to Thailand already to give us some tips for this journey.

For the hotel and flight tickets, i will book them online tonight, hope not too late for this:p I also notice that MRT/BTS One Day Pass are available online, is that really necessary to book the Metro card as well for us? We will spend one day in Bankok, to catch a cab or take metro for the transportation, which will be better to take? Thanks.

One day in Bangkok is a bit short if you want to take in any sites.
Palace
Reclining Budha
River Tour on the ChaoPraya
Patpong Night Market
Shopping on Sukhumvit

Plus nightlife...

- No need to buy a metro card online. If you need one when you get there...all the MTS Stations sell them.

- 6 Days in Pattaya? Possibly the dirtiest, smuttiest, most over-priced, least like Thailand City in Thailand.

Unless 6 days of bar hoors, lady boys, japanese tourists, fat old euro men living out some weird fixed income retirement sex dream is what you are looking for.....
So be it....

If not....there are some better choices....Koh Samet, Hua Hin, Koh Chang all near Bangkok and a 1-3 hour bus or taxi away...

For hotels I always use www.hotelthailand.com. Dependable and honest....and can also arrange day tours and transportation.

For flights...I use C-Trip

Sorry to be negative on your trip....

Not really sure your demographics are or key criteria's for a good holiday are though...so maybe a bit unfair of me.

But I love the country and the people...and hate for anyone's first impression of my adopted home is the worst that there is to offer. IMHO
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.....Dave Barry

Just curious: how does Koh Samet compare to the beaches of Sulabia?

Thanks for your advice, i think i will take the one day tours, sounds good though! Which hotel did you stay when you stayed in Thailand? They're clean? My budget is 1,000Euro for 2 person, is that enough to take care of the whole thing, such as hotel, flight tickets, sight tickets?
