Recreational BBALL AND Nightlife!!

Postby Rukawa005 » Fri Apr 30, 2004 9:54 am

greetings to those in shanghai (or will soon be)!

my name is peter, and this is my first post. i am excited because i will take part in a business chinese study program in shanghai from 6-27 to 8-7 this summer.

i have two things i have to ask you guys:

1. i LOVE playing basketball, and from what i've read.. seems like the courts outside shanghai stadium is the place to be? how's the competition? i'd prefer at least some competition. if any of u are up for some good games.. lets go! i'll be going afternoons or night (if there's lighted courts) on weekdays, and can do anytime weekends. i don't want to go alone and just pick up.. i'd rather go with people.. any other popular places to play?

2. i LOVE clubbing as well (not as much as bball though). what are the best HIP HOP clubs to go to? i've only read about pegasus and guandi having hip hop nights. what about student nights, etc? i'm 21.

thanks guys!

Hey Peter,

My name is Brendan, Im from New Zealand, Im 22 years old and teaching english to rugrats.

Ive been in shanghai for a couple of weeks now but only played ball once. Its driving me a little crazy. Especially with the playoffs on TV all the time. Did you see Derek Fishers 0.4 second game winner? Damn.

Id be real keen to hook and play some games at the stadium.

Id also be hella keen to go out to some desent clubs. Im into D n B, hip hop and dub (amongst other things) and Ive really only heard that Pegasus is the place to go. Everywhere else is apparently pretty lame.

Aight, well if your keen for a game holla back.
