"Two militants were killed and 15 arrested in Urumqi on January 27.
Five police officers were wounded when three home-made grenades were thrown at them during the incident.
The gang had planned an attack targeting the Games, the Xinhua news agency reported Wang Lequan, who heads the Xinjiang region Communist Party, as saying.
"Those terrorists, saboteurs and secessionists are to be battered resolutely, no matter what ethnic group they are from," Mr Wang said.

Real chance.
Do you really think the police raided a stronghold of 17 people and had them all connected to a plane crashing?
Sounds like they wanted to arrest 17 people and called them terrorists so that they could arrest them. Just like the Americans.

Reading comprehension problems? The 15 arrests/2 people dead were not directly related to this event. Also, there was no plane crash.

Note that the weapons displayed are toys.

Plus, the crash an airplane into Beijing sounds a bit odd. They didn't mention any evidence found, they basically just said they busted 17 people for plotting to down a plane.
And the article was meant to say that they are busting them without good reason and their evidence is BS. (Or in this case, maybe not actually telling us the real reason)
