I'm moving out and leaving Shanghai and going travelling until I return to Ireland, but have two very heavy (30kgs each!!) suitcases that I need to send to Ireland before I leave for Thailand.
Does anyone know of a good 'excess baggage company' or any other good companies to send my luggage home cheaply? I don't mind if it takes a few weeks or longer once they get back to Dublin safe and sound
I have to organise it all within two weeks and so I'd really appreciate any help,

A while ago I sent several cardboard boxes with China Post using "surface mail" 水陆路. Took around 8 weeks to Europe and everything arrived.

Mmh, just tried to check the costs on the china post site http://zf.chinapost.com.cn/index.do. Was told 水陆路 couldn't be used for Ireland? Had to use 空运水陆路 instead

Last time I wanted to send something with China Post via land/ sea, I was told that they do not offer that service any longer and needs to be send by airplane.

We will be sending a container of personal effects to Dublin very soon. If you don't mind the transit time, including your two suitcases in our container is probably the best and the safest and most economical shipping solution.
