Shanghai International Schools

Postby alishaxx » Thu Dec 25, 2008 7:14 pm

Hello, could anyone PLEASE reccommend some good boarding schools in Shanghai, particularly international and english speaking ones and if you can provide some information on the boarding facilities? I will be going into year 11 next year. I just cant seem to find alot of international high schools that actually take on boarders. Thanks alot. Any help will be very much appreciated :)

I met somebody once who said that Yew Chung in Gubei had a boarding option (they were actually a student doing that). Not sure on the spelling of yew chung?

Pinghe is, technically speaking, *not* an international school (they do not operate on an international school licence). But I suppose it makes no difference to any parent except for prestige and cost!

Yes, Yew Chung in Gubei does have boarding students - I have met students boarding in the villa nearby.

Which means you are out of luck. Since 2 years ago, SEB has indicated to all international schools that we can no longer take boarding students. I thought it applied only to new applicants for boarding. It looks like it's across the board.
