Hi, Im coming to SHanghai this summer with my friend to look around and top-up the Mandarin which has got ridiculously rusty since moving back to Britain (I lived in Beijing for a year and Kunming for 6 months before). Were planning to stay for at least 2 months, probably 3, but were unsure what to do about a place to stay, so thought wed pick your brains! Do you think we could get an apartment for 2 or 3 months? If not, hotels look pretty expensive in Shanghai, at least more so than Beijing anyway. I dont think it'd be cheap to stay in a hotel for that length of time. Any ideas would be appreciated!
ps we're well up for seeing Shanghai & spending the summer there!

There was a post one or two weeks ago about a girl wanting to rent her place out for a couple of months in the summer when she go back home (somewhere in europe) for summer vacation. Why not check the rental section of this website to find this post and see if it's still available. Or, if there are something similar.

As far as I know near Shanghai Foreign Book Store there is a building named He Zhong Apartments, it provides different kinds of aprtment of the price between 1500-3000yuan/per month.
