Squash rackets

Postby jez248 » Tue May 19, 2009 7:07 am

Hey,

I'm living near Jing'an Si, just wondering if there's anywhere nearby to buy a pretty cheap, average-ish squash racket? Or where in the city can I find one?

Also just out of curiosity are there any cheap, decent squash courts near Jing'an? Right now Shanghai Stadium sounds like the best squash option for me, but if there's anything nearer that would be great.

Thanks!

Shanghai Grand, same building as Maya resto on Julu nearest cross street shaanxi, has a squash court anyone can book for 50RMB/hour, not a bad court and size.

Ambassy Club on huai hai has 2 very crap courts with low ceilings, need to be a member I think.

Regal Hotel on Hengshan Rd has a court, need to be a member again I believe.

Someone told me the Portman has a court.

One Park Avenue has 2 courts, probably need to play with someone who lives there.

Raquets you can buy from decathlon or Shanghai Stadium. Haven't really seen too many places around town to be honest sells anything good.

There is a thread that is discussing the topic of squash. Just search on 'squash' and I am sure you will find it.

For rackets - go to Decathlon. Good quality and good price!

The sports floor at Jiu Guang shopping centre (City Plaza) next to Jing An Si, has squash raquets, some very cheap some very expensive. 8 Park has nice squash courts too, only about 2 of them I recall, but as with One Park its residents only. Anyone know if whether Jing An Gymnasium has them?
The Vatican is against surrogate mothers. Good thing they didn't have that rule when Jesus was born.
