The corporate finance and fund management salaries look too low at the senior end, unless that's only base salary and excludes bonuses which make up the huge majority of the package. However, if that's the case, they seem a little high as base salaries.
I've not been in the loop as to what first year analysts make at ibanks these days. My guess is that if you're looking at doing advisory work in an ibank, you're probably looking at usd100k-150k for an average year as your first year's total comp, if you're based in HK. You obviously realize that this number varies greatly, depending on the bonus, which may not have been that great in 2007 for some groups.
In any case, be prepared not to have a life if you're looking at doing management consulting or investment banking.
