Su,28th,1-30pm : BigBamboo Voodoo vs. Blue Frog Lions

Postby SirFiddler » Sun Aug 28, 2005 10:15 am

The Big Bamboo Voodoo, team from the Shanghai International Football League, are playing the Blue Frog Lions, member of the PuDong Sunday League in a pre-season friendly clash . Venue is the Sports and Recreation Centre in Jinqiao, Pu Dong, behind the Carrefour.

3 weeks before the first game in the SIFL , the Big Bamboo Voodoo will face their first real test. Will the lungs and legs hold for 90 minutes ? SirFiddler, a man the international sports press dubbed "The One Legged White Emile Heskey" is promising an interesting match , should the Lions get out of bed on time.

For all female fans a "meet and greet" is arranged for after the game, however it has been downgraded from the usual "meet and greet under the shower" to just a couple of drinks at "Latina" just next to the pitch

Footie interested people show up and have a look

well, we got stuffed 5-1 . Lions played really good football upfront, and we weren't able to put on into their onion bag in the first 20 minutes. Consequently a quick counter attack, after SirFiddler lost the ball in midfield, led to the 1-0 for the Lions, another , lucky goal, brought the 2-0 halftime result.
We could have scored on a couple of occasions but simply didn't . Another three quick goals right after kick off of 2nd half killed us off completely...
