Hi everyone,

I'm moving to Shanghai in a month or so and am interested in finding a 1br near Times Square (Huaihai Dong Lu near Linyi Lu).. or even on a metro line that is close to there. I'd ideally like to spend less than $900 US or 8000RMB-- is this a possibility? Any recommendations for real estate agents to help me in the search?

Try some of the ones below which are from 5 to 15 mins from Times Square. Not all have one bed apartments but you will get something for around your budget.

Can I also suggest that just before you arrive, have a good search on the Cityspace on this webbsite and the others and contact those with photos. Good ones do go quickly so if you really like something, have a look at it adn put an offer in on it. You can always pull out if you find something better. I think the first one Adrienne was referring to is Lao Xi Men Xin Yuan... The English name would be New Westgate Garden... The one with the Spartan Club inside and the eMart opening up in August?

The location is sort of puzzling... While the proper address says XiZang Nan Lu, the 3 gates are on ZhaoZhou Lu and this nameless back street off FangXie Lu... O well... Chinese logics...
