These are some of the words to describe the Camel Burger. It was fantastic, try one for yourself, ranks up there with some of Shanghais best burgers

Shouldn't you, as a rather portly gentleman, be less keen to eat all the burgers put in front of you?

I don't own a bar in Shanghai, neither do I plan to open one, but shouldn't you, as a bar owner, be less bitter towards other bar owners?

I can't really think of anything intelligent to refer to this kind of situation other than it makes you come across as a c*nt.

Where does this guy get off ? Wouldn't he be better off concentrating on making his own business better rather than ragging off about other pubs.

It is not like there is only 100 customers in Shanghai and there is a need to fight over them like a seagull over a chip.

^ how much was it and what type of fish? Chips (fries) were fat and soggy variety (which I like) or the skinny crispy ones? How big was it?

Friday nights, it's 100rmb including 2 pints of Carlsberg. I think normally it's either 85 or 95.

Fat chips. Fish, not sure. 2 pieces, similar to whiting or something that we'd get in Aus.

Had a small portion of that mushy pea stuff, which is for the poms. Aussies don't touch it.

I had the burger, not bad. BIG though. The fat fries were good. Friends had the fish n' chips and said it was good. Will try it next time. I am always weary of fish n' chips here as they are usually a let down anywhere in Asia.

And the $54,000 question....Did the Carlsbergs go the way of the mushy peas?

Nah, actually drunk them. Went down ok with the Fish and Chips, because that is the best in town, if not China.

Anyway, fish and chips was friggin amazing. Will be there EVERY Friday night for that and 2 Carlsbergs, followed by 1/2 dozen blondies.

Had the fish & chips and must say, they were the best in China. Would respectfully disagree and say the Carlsberg wasnt that bad; especially considering the deal.

I drank the 2 free pints with glee, and they tasted a shitload better cause they were gratis. Having a Tetley's here now after watching the NRL & Super 14; going to be big when AFL kicks off.[b]

Friday the place was packed; good atmosphere and I do like to be served drinks with a smile by the friendly staff. Not an easy thing to be found in places that are packed with laowais. Keep it up. Nice.

haha, i only taking the p1ss because i was drinking Carlsberg, much to the delight of the other punters. Next time i get the Fish & Chips, with the 2 free Carlsbergs, i'll have them pour them into empty VB bottles ;)

Will have to try the Tuesday special soon. That was the Steak (big one i believe), chips etc... for 180rmb including a couple of beers.

Tried this place on Friday night and watched the Rugby and NRL - caught the Broncos game which wasnt on Australia network which was a blessing!! The place was packed and had a great vibe!

25 RMB Happy hour Fosters went down a treat along with the massive 50 RMB breakfast roll!

Will definately be heading back next weekend.

Went there for the first time on Saturday. Cool place really. Will definitely have to check out some NRL there as well as try the fish n' chips that Mat has such a hard-on for.

Again last weekend I ejoyed a few drinks here. However, as a smoker I have noticed that they do not sell any in the bar. Does anyone know if they are going to or is the bar just not going to sell any smokes?

Have they solved that lighting problem yet? It's just too bright, even for a sports bar. It's not the volume of the lighting that's a problem, so much as the quality. It has that nasty "Halogen" or LED effect. Not comfortable. They need to bung in some old fashioned incandescant bulbs.

Maybe they just started lunch on Sunday because I was there about 1.30pm on Saturday and the place was locked up. But I went back later and had a great night. Really nice staff, great shots and I had the great honour of running into Mat and skyline. They might want to re-think the open door policy ha-ha...

Open from 11AM Saturday and Sunday from now on, maybe Friday as well, not 100% on that. All other days from 4PM onwards for the next few weeks.
