You might check ctrip for packages.. we went a couple years ago on a pretty good deal including airfare, transfers, and hotels 5 days for 10K .

Well I went from HK to Bali about this time last year and I paid 240 USD for a one way. However that was on Royal Brunei Airlines and last I heard they no longer have service to bali. Also try Air Asia, have got really cheap flights from them as well.

Just checked Ctrip but they said they do not book flights to Bali...will try contacting some airlines directly.

Bali is paradise! and I'm from hawaii, so that means something. My chinese girlfriend and I just came back from there. all nationalities can get visa on arrival there, including chinese. If you are really on a budget, you can try AirAsia from Hangzhou->Kuala Lumpur->Bali. Otherwise look at connections in Singapore or Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific. I think shanghai has direct flights with Jakarta, so that is an option as well.

Shanghai Airlines schedule shows FM841 going directly to Denpasar on Thurs and Sun, with FM842 returning 2x per week on the next day. Anyone taken that? They're Star Alliance, so can use FF miles?

Yes can use FF miles....But if your miles are on a different carrier than FM....Must call that airline to book
