Big time dangerous because driving culture here is likely quite different from your home country. They cut you off at any time. I used to get angry when I saw that, then I noticed that my Shanghai driver friends never got upset. I realized its because the culture here allows for more of this sort of behavior. Drives me crazy (pun intended!) :D

I love driving but I find it way too much hassle to find a parking in SH. Hence I prefer riding my electric scooter or taking the metro to work. I dont find it worth the money and hassle to buy a car here when you can easily rent one cheap thru apps like PP chu che or from avis.

I think we can now add: because tax paying foreigners can no longer buy a Shanghai plate

It's because they are not brave enough  I'm more afraid of driving back home than here cos they drive on the other side of the road, I've been driving here too long and gotten used to the American way.

You didn't know I married a Sh princess? Her dresser is full of branded perfume. She won't even leave the house unless she's got some kind of make-up on.

Yep, I also have a bunch unopened for men that I bought at the airport that's been sitting in the drawer for a few years, Versace, CK, Burberry, Prada, if anyone wants it I will give them to you for free, don't want to waste it. Everyone loves the smell of my cheap Axe deodorant spray
