Travel Partners to Vietnam / Travel Partner Websites?

Postby vesper » Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:35 am

Hello,

I'm afraid my original spring festival plan is going to fall through, so I'm considering going to Vietnam instead. Is anyone doing a group trip I could get in on? Would anyone be interested in flying to Hanoi and seeing Halong Bay? I'm probably going to keep it rather cheap, with either nice hostels or budget hotels.

Also, can anyone recommend any other websites to find travel partners? Most of my friends are married or have already been to the places I want to go to, so I always seem to have this problem around the holidays. I've used mango-tree.com, but it's a bit dead.

That said, if anyone else is doing an interesting group trip, I'd be happy to hear about it!

I second that. My girlfriend and I are also looking for some kind of travel opportunity (preferably outside china) but this year prices are through the roof. Anyone even with just good ideas, post a reply here

Hey, i am also contemplating Hanoi for CNY, chill out a bit at Halong Bay + a bit of treking in Sapa. Found this which sounds alright, timewise and budgewise...there's direct flight between SH and Hanoi, flying at night which saves time, about RMB5000 inclusive of tax. but do need to get visa beforehand which takes about a week. what ya think?

Thanks for the link! I did most of Cambodia alone, but I prefer to travel with someone.

My trip is up in the air, but it's nice to hear from people who have an interest in putting some trips together. I'm here for another year, so I'd like to plan some things. :)
