You truely want to see the real China ? First you should come to North China when the winter comes if you are not afraid of the freezing cold. white snow and skating are my favourites. Then West China like t¡bet and other rural areas. It's beauty and poverty. No pollution there. Ride a horse in Mongolia Province. In Spring, go to Yun Nan. Enjoy the fragrance of the flowers. Hike mountains and look around for exotic products. Nearly summer, to Hai nan. Lie down under a palm tree.

What are your sightseeing preferences? The "real" China is EVERYWHERE around you, if you haven't already realised that.
What's your budget like?
Do you understand any Chinese?
Is this your 1st trip to China?

I'm not a travel agent, thank you very much. It's just that I'm on many travel forums and this is typical of what travellers ask, which we're unable to give any specific answer as the question is simply too open-ended and they don't provide enough information.
