Trustworthy travel agents? (Trip to malaysia)

Postby szwliew » Wed May 07, 2008 8:16 pm

Hi all,

looking for a travel agent to book a trip to Malaysia. Whats the best way to buy a ticket? Ctrip or does anybody have a trustworthy travel agent to share?

Thanks

I got mine from ctrip last time. There is a travel agent recommended here name Helen. Do a search for her - I bought some tickets from her - domestic & international and her prices are quite good.

I went to KL last month and booked my tickets online through the Malaysia Airlines website.

6900RMB for two.

Or you can try China Southern as well;

they code share so you're actually booking for the same flight. Just see which one is cheaper!

If it's just direct flights you want these links and a credit card are all you need, no need to fart around with an agent :)

Ok Thanks.

When in Canada, domestic flights are cheapest when booking direct online, but international flights are usually cheaper going through an agent.

I'll probably just book online (and will give Helen a shout also), since I don't want to risk getting ripped off somehow from a random agent I find here.

Sometimes she has good prices on flights, sometimes online options are better.

Looks like all the prices I've got are around 3300-3500 tax in to KL.

Kind of expensive IMO, but I think its a standard fare.

I'll book in a couple weeks so if anybody knows any good tricks on getting a good deal, I'd still appreciate it.

Thanks
