Good information. I have learnt lot about water. It is the need of our body. We can live without food but can't live without water. It is good to drink lot of water in a day because water is best for health and burn calories.

I only drink bottled water here in Shanghai, even for cooking.

Maybe you can drink it, but why would you? This is a country without meaningful product liability and tort laws, rampant industrial pollution, and a low disregard for the value of human life. Local consumers are also not making a big deal about it--as they are about air pollution--so the authorities do not feel compelled to act.
