Tutor for "3-month to fluency in chinese"

Postby ChiCam » Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:09 pm

I'm looking for a chinese tutor for both speaking and writing. The goal is to gain fluency in speaking in chinese in 3 months period. Available daily during week near French area (Xiangyang Lu-Fuxing Lu) between 11h30 to 13h30 or after 17h30 and during week-end near Hongqiao Lu/ Hami Lu.
I've been living here for 3 years without really learning, but can converse a "little".
Drop me a pm.
Reg.

hahaha 3 months! good luck! i think you'll need more hours than that..
if you were doing 8+ hours per day you might have a chance of fluent speaking on some topics, and read about 2000 characters.

Six months at 10 hrs/week you might make some degree of progress with speaking. Reading & writing? Try 8+ hours/ day, minimum of 4 days per week; 4 hrs class time, 4 hrs homework. Unless you are either Japanese (especially) or Korean, in which you already have some experience of reading & writing the characters; or African, in which many African nations' lingua franca is tone-based, as is Mandarin. Everyone else?It is a solid, ham-fisted fight or wrestle with the dragon.

some advice for you

Postby dianna_jia » Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:23 pm

if you want to improve your chinese mandarine in a short time,as a Chinese mandarine teacher for foreigners I can give you some advice ;
1. you should look for an experienced tutor (professional will be better)who is able to teach you everyday in your suitable time
2. you have to choose a teaching material that suits you (a good tutor will do this well for you.)
3. your chinese lesson should be at least 2 hours a day
4. It woud be very good that you may try to talk to every chinese you meet (friends, colleague, or anyone)
hope it was useful to you.

according to your demands, i suggest you to choose a language school so that you can take a regular, standard and really structured course, and i'm afraid you have to take course at least for 3 hours per day if you want to improve your mandarin in such a short time.

If you are interested,i would like to recommend our mandarin teacher community, "mandarin collective" to you.

We provide a wide variety of courses for different levels. this is a mandarin teacher community, all of our teachers have at least 2 years mandarin teaching experience, and with TCSL cert. Also, most of our teachers have taught or studied abroad before.

We could provide mandarin tutoring where you are and depending on your schedule and demands.

We will give you a free test to know your level before starting the lesson, then we will provide the lesson according to your level.

if we could help, you could contact us.
