URGENT HELP NEEDED, PLEASE!! (X Visa --> F Visa)

Postby JJ040679 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 9:11 am

Hi!

I am from Thailand. I have been in China for 1 year and 3 months. I first came here with a one-year L visa and then changed it to X visa as I wanted to study Chinese. Now I'm on the second X visa which expires in 1 week. I would like to change my X visa to F visa because I already finished studying Chinese and would like to stay longer look for a job here.

I would like to ask you the following questions:

1. I understand that I have to go back to my country to have my X visa changed to F visa, is that correct?
2. In my case, is it possible to get a one-year multiple entry F visa, with 90 day stays?
3. Besides an invitation letter, do I also need "Visa Notice Sheet" from an authorized organization in China? What is "Visa Notice Sheet" and how do I get it?
4. An invitation letter can be issued by any Chinese organization? Does it need any stamp or authorization from the Chinese government?

Any help or advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think to go from student to business visa you DO neet do go back home, or maybe you can do it in HK.

Assume when you refer to X visa you mean Z work visa.
Keep in mind, that if you get a job as you hope, you cannot work legally on a F visa, and will need to go back to a Z.

I mean to change from a student visa to a business visa. I am aware that I can't work legally on a business visa. Thanks for your reply!
