Use my laptop as a monitor

Postby jeffinflorida » Tue Mar 01, 2011 4:42 pm

Anyone know if I can use my Toshiba Satelite L505- S5971 laptop as a monitor for my Xbox 360?

The Xbox has HD out and the laptop has has HD ports but I don't know if that can be used as HD In, or is just HD in.

Looking at the Toshbia website doesn't' help and I couldn't find an email address for support to ask them this question.

Input?

Hard to imagine any laptop manufacturer design an HD input...my guess is your HD port is only for output.

I have a Satellite L650 and the HDMI port is one way, out only. I have heard of an HDMI to USB converter cable and even a dongle that converts Composite signals into a DVI format, but then you'd still need a way to convert the incoming signal from the XBOX into something viewable on the laptop screen, highly doubtful I think.
