It's still a little ways off now, but FYI, the American Women's Club will be hosting a used book sale on March 10th, with proceeds going to charity, so your friend may want to check it out.

I don't know where the sale is taking place yet, but I'm sure it won't be hard to find out as the date approaches - can check the group's website.
